What To Know About Cavachons For Sale

By Debra Wood

Most types of dogs are categorized according to their uses, be they toy, sports or working breeds. One coincidence of mating actually worked to create a new kind of toy type of canine, from two of the same kind. Ever since, the new type became popular among those that are of this kind, smaller and able to sit on laps.

This breed being discussed comes from Bichon Frises and the most popular of spaniel types. It is called the Cavachon, and the first mating was in the 90s and breeders today will have Cavachons for sale. This is one that is also lumped as one of new designer kinds, those that have been made with all kinds of unique characteristics from their original kinds of canines.

But the accidental creation of the Cavachon is also evidence of the fact that nature often makes its own decisions, unaided or influenced by human decisions. The dogs made from this union are not that much bigger or smaller from their original source. Also, they have very attractive coats that are soft and silky to the touch, which is a preference for many owners of toy dogs.

The range of sizes can be anything, from 12 to 20 pounds or so, but the upper levels are where most of the adult individuals are found to be. This dog is one that will both look short or tall, depending on the angles from which it is seen. Coats are longer than usual, although it is a good surprise for people to find that they do not shed.

Ranges for size might have range of 12 and up to 20 pound, yet most of adults of the kind can stay within the 18 to 20 pounds or so range. It can actually look short and tall, depending on how it stands or the angle that someone sees it. The coats really manageable although longer than average, because they will not shed unlike others.

The mixture of original sources for this type has also created the friendliest kind of pet, one that does not bite strangers or jump up on people. Being good natured, this can be present in homes which have kids, PWDs or senior citizens. The character and temperament of this canine is that of warm and loving friend that belongs to the family.

A disadvantage with this type is the incapability of guarding houses or the household. His loving nature is something that may allow any kind of person in although he can bark at strangers. Thus it is also able to warn owners of strangers, and this is often enough of a warning for those inside a home, and the breed size is not something that is well for fighting or attacking as protection.

Its intelligence is also one that is good for those who are not good with friskiness, because this canine is not too frisky, something well appreciated in homes that are delicate. Feeding and care are not things that are too problematic for them. Actually, the grooming needs can only be washing every six weeks or so. Their ears though should be checked often, and hair near eyes trimmed.

Most breeds that are popular today share some if not many of the features of this one type. But mostly, the qualities and character of a canine are things that are unique. Thus those who have had them will often want the same kind when they are in search for new puppies, and those who have not experienced them will find them to be excellent pets in the home.
